Well today was really laid back.Especially Valero!!(which is good!)I put the saddle on him and he was falling asleep!Even when the girth hit his leg,he didn't flinch!!The next thing we played with was standing(in my words but in other terms ground tying).I could see in his eyes how badly he wanted to follow me,but he stood there no matter how much he wanted to move!I worked with him on his sidepassing and let me tell you...he does not like sidepassing!!He'd rather go forward or backwards!(I am not sure if i'd shared that yet)Oh and i do believe when the time comes Lero will have no trouble in taking a bit...he already opens his mouth when i say "bit" and put my finger in the roof of his mouth! My buby is such a sweetheart and so socialable!!!

This is a big mumbo-jumbo of day 23 and 24! Day 23:  I had to work for Venture crew from 10 to 3 and then Lero and I worked on EVERYTHING!(everything aside from trailer loading because it wasn't backed up to the trailer)we worked on picking up his feet(I think he just sees me as an annoyance now sometimes),lunging, steping in wierd places, sidepassing, throwing stuff on him(Ball, hula hoop, tarp)and my mom and myself played soccer with Valero and Cordero! It was great!I think we won by far!
Day 24: Valero and I decided to work on some new stuff today!!! I tied him for a while,we explored down by the house, and I threw the western saddle on him for the first time!(we also loaded in the trailer without hesitation!)Valero stood still and didn't freak out. But when i started lunging him he kept trying to stop at the gate!(i do not want a gate sour horse!!!)So i rkept lunging him until he passed by without hesitation! He was REAL sweaty! So as a reward i sprayed him off and put him away!Overall it was a great day!

Quick update as i just got home from TN...Valero REMEMBERED ME AND EVERYTHING I TAUGHT HIM!!(at least what i went over in the dark...)With it almost being the fourth of july fireworks are now going off...he is kinda jumpy but pretty good about it.The babysitter was glad to be relieved!haha(my dad!) I need to get back to work now!!!!

I put the saddle on Lero today!!!He stood still for me to put it on.After he had a minute hissy fit he settled down and i was able to lunge him with it on...I found out that he doesn't like the girth hitting his legs so i took the girth off from the saddle and wrapped it around his legs and did some decentsitizing(sp?)Anyways that is pretty much all we had time for today!I hosed him off and put him back in the pasture where he roled 5 times!!!

Valero backed out of the trailer today!!!I am so excited because he was terrified to do so!I also worked on sidepassing again with him and put the surcingle on him!(A thing that goes all the way around his belly to prepare him for a saddle)Valero didn't buck or anything when i put it on him!I see a liberty bit in his freestyle because he can lead without a line!Tomorrow i am putting a saddle on him!

I reviewed trailer loading and sidepassing today with Lero...He was VERY full of himself. His attitude was kind of a"I am right your wrong"attitude! But two things he did great on today was i am now able to point to the trailer and say"Step up" and he gets right in and he let me turn on the clippers(without running away!!)But he did not like holding his face still for it...

Saturday we didn't do much i just did a big review of everything i taught Lero...Today I decided to work on trailer loading with him...once Lero saw how excited i got when on his first try he put one foot in,he got all the way in!!!!!I am now to the point with him where i point to the trailer and he will get in!!!!I also worked on sidepassing with him;he sidepassed a few times! He did so good i put him back in the pen.My picture uploader isn't working!!!Darn!!!Pics are gonna be up as soon as the uploader works!Sorry!
