Today we trotted with my hand,lunged(outside his pen),picked ALL 4 of his feet with the hoofpick and got a blanket on him!    He likes drinking from water bottles!hehe! The mustang that was starving for grain! RRRRREEEEAAACCCHHH  'oh no my heads stuck!'   'Good it's not!' His girl got his supplements out there and he was able to pig out! The end!

On Friday we picked up for the EMM! For those of you who don't know what the EMM is it is The Extreme Mustang Makeover.Trainers get 100 days to train a wild mustang...Now i am in the youth division that trains yearlings.This is our journey so far.. We saw a gas station named....  Hehe! Karen,our friend said,"That would make a pretty name!" (Watch videos 1; doesn't have music sorry!)       I forgot to mention in the 2nd video music is by Templeton Thompson: Girls and Horses, and Cowgirl Creed from her album Girls and Horses I love my lil guy!!! Steen's Valero! He is really starting to trust me! By the end of this week i am hoping to be able to take off his halter and rehalter him. Also i am hoping i am able to pick up his feet!!! Hopefully the rain will hold off tomorrow so i can work with him some more!!
Ok so I have been working with Val (My mustang that has EPM)lately and she has progressed wonderfully!!At first she was scared of a lot of objects now....  She would stop at least 15 feet away from the trailor and now....  To get ready for the yearling horse from the EMM (4 MORE WEEKS!) My Dad and I made bridges(yes,not one but TWO!)we also painted them white!   Extras!   I am proud of my girl but have come to realize she's one of the most stubborn horses i have ever met!(lol!!!)But i still love her!!!
i went on a walk with val!  Val saw a scary monster...GRRR!!!      That was Vals face when she saw....This.   Kahlua wanted treats!lol! Yes there is a flag in the video sometimes....but i had to do something to keep Kahlua going!!LOL!Cord had random outbursts of bucking!Wish i caught it on camera! Saturday i went out to work with the horses mostly on tricks!Sorry i didn't get any pics of the tricks!Just riding!!!I had to pick lost of burs and curry lots of mud!!!The little brown spot on the side of Kahlua is the mud from my boot when i swung upon kahlua!Let me tell you Luie is LAZY! She doesn't bow as far as she used to!! i just need to really push her someday when its warm!!!!Cord goes so far its like he is gonna do a summersault!      This afternoon i got some time to spend time with my horsies! Since i got a new laptop, i needed a background.so i figured why not one of my girlys! here are some pics.   I also did some bareback riding with kahlua and we cantered for the first time ever bareback!!! At first she needed an attitude adjustment then she was good.After that we went down to the trailor to practice loading.I said "trailor" and she stepped right in! I was so proud of her!!!!
My horse and i worked on trick riding yesterday it was great!We did around the world,(for those of you who don't know what that is it is when i swing my legs around the horn and sit backwards on my horse's neck then swing around the horn again and again and again)i stood on her while she was moving, acted like i was going to flip of her but just hung there with my feet straight up in the air.What was really funny was my horse is really lazy and she put her head down and i slid right off her neck! Sorry i haven't been on in a while things have been crazy!Well anyway i went out in april to do a photo shoot with the mustangs and here are some pictures i got.           HELLO!  That 'Lil' snot! She got into my Cookies for them!
